1. Who is responsible?

2. For what purposes do we collect personal data?

Our application portal serves to apply to our company for employment and / or to participate in a recruiting event.

3. What data do we process?

If you only use our website for information purposes, that is, if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we will only collect the personal information that your browser transmits to our server. If you view our website, we will collect the following information that is technically required for us to display our website to you and to ensure its stability and security. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)f GDPR:

The date and time of the request, time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), content of the inquiry (concrete page), access status/HTTP status code, the respective data volume transferred, the website from which the request was sent, the browser, operating system and its interface, and the language and version of the browser software.

If you enter into our application process, we will collect the personal information needed for its proper execution, such as your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address, but also all data from the provided documents. Personal data is processed on the basis of Section 26 (1) of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) for decision-making on the establishment of a possible employment relationship.

You have the option of creating a user account to track the status of your application throughout the application process. To do so, we will need your e-mail address, a password, and your consent to our data privacy policy. The data and attachments will remain stored after your application process to facilitate future applications on your part. You may ask us to delete your data, attachments, or user account at any time.

When participating in recruiting events, Platinion GmbH distinguishes between national and international events. For participation in either a national or international recruiting event, we process your personal data in order to be able to invite you to the recruiting event and to provide you with the necessary information. For this purpose, we process personal data in the form of necessary personal data such as your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address, as well as all data from the documents provided by you. The processing of personal data for participation in the recruiting event is based on your voluntary consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) a GDPR.

We would be pleased to save your data beyond the application process to be able to consider you again in potential future application rounds.

4. Who do we share your personal data with?

If you apply to us via our online web form, your application documents will be stored by our order data processor Avature. Storage takes place exclusively on European servers and all data protection standards are adhered to. Access to your data is reserved exclusively for Platinion employees, even if hosting is provided by Avature. Occasionally, Avature service employees may be granted limited access if this is necessary for technical reasons. In this case, compliance with data protection regulations has been contractually ensured.

Personal data that you share with us or that we collect automatically is transmitted exclusively within our organization. If you apply for a position at our location in Austria, your personal data will be transferred to the Austrian company BCG Platinion (Austria) GmbH in order to be able to consider you for a position to be filled there. They will be transferred only to such individuals or groups that require access to it in the course of their activities. Your applications are thus forwarded to our human resources department, while the data collected automatically for statistical purposes is transmitted to our marketing department.

Your data is mainly processed by our recruiting, human resources and marketing departments and the department head who fills your position or decides on the selection for recruiting events. However, other internal and external parties may also be involved in the processing of your data.

For technical reasons, it may additionally be necessary to grant access to third parties. These are exclusively third parties who operate as our identified contract data processors. We pay strict attention to ensuring a relevant contractual basis with all of these third parties.

Due to the execution of international recruiting events, we may transfer your personal data to other group members/affiliates. Your personal data will only be transmitted if you have selected the relevant group member in which you are interested on the landing page and have given your consent.

The transmitted data will be used exclusively for the purpose of recruiting.

Beyond that, we will disclose your data only where we are legally required to do so. We will never sell, rent, or lease your personal data to third parties, nor draw commercial benefit from them in any other way.


5. Will your data be transmitted outside the EU?

In generally, a forwarding of your personal data outside the EU is not intended. However, if this should be necessary, the data will only be forwarded to countries that can demonstrate a comparable or appropriate level of protection with regard to personal data.

6. How long do we store your personal data?

We store your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which we collected the data. If this data is no longer required to fulfill the respective purpose, it will be deleted, unless we are required by law to ensure a certain retention period, e.g. in accordance with commercial, tax, criminal or social law.

If you have also granted us a longer retention period, we will retain the data until we receive your revocation.

7. What information rights do you have regarding your personal data?

You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and data portability, as well as the right to object to the processing of your information. 8. How safe is your data?

We use industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, manipulation, or deletion by third parties; however, we cannot guarantee that no unauthorized individuals will access your personal data.

9. What are cookies and how do we use them?

Cookies are small files that are saved in the browser on your computer and cannot be read by third parties such as other websites.

We use cookies to temporarily store the information you enter into forms. The temporarily stored data is deleted as soon as you close your browser (so-called “session cookies”).

11. Involvement of Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies that are saved on users’ computers and enable their use of a website to be analyzed. The information generated by the cookie about the use of that website by users is generally transmitted to a Google server in the United States, where it is stored. We have activated IP anonymization on this website, so that users’ IP addresses are abbreviated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting parties of the agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and abbreviated there. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics will not be connected with other Google data. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to analyze the use of this website by users to compile a report on the website activities and provide other services connected with the website usage and internet usage to the operators of the website.  Our legitimate interest in data processing also lies in these purposes. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is § 15(3) TMG and Article 6(1)a GDPR.
